La Jolla Face Specialist for Injectable Fillers
Many physicians from a variety of fields inject facial fillers. However, there is an art to successful use of injectables. Standard applications of facial fillers can lead to flat results which do not create the desired visual impact.
Many times, just finding the best price does not lead to the best deal.
With the appropriate application of facial fillers, the entire face appears younger, balanced, and more refreshed. Dr Kolstad is a highly trained, highly qualified Facial Plastic Surgeon.
PHILOSOPHY: How Is Dr. Kolstad Different? Not all providers of injectable fillers have the same degree of skill. Merely filling in lines will lead to a mediocre result at best. Why would you trust your face to anyone who is not an expert? Dr. Kolstad’s expertise in facial fillers comes from spending a year training with one of Allergan’s Black Diamond Providers. The prestigious Black Diamond is awarded to the top 1% of practices and medical spas using Allergan’s Botox and Juvederm products. It is through working and learning from the best that Dr. Kolstad is able to deliver such high quality care to his patients. In his experience, Dr. Kolstad has often found that using multiple fillers together can produce better results than using just choosing one or another. As such, he adds volume throughout the face, so that the face is enhanced in a global and more attractive way. This unique way of injecting was learned from one of the world's top injectors. Facial fillers can be combined with BOTOX® Cosmetic and skin resurfacing procedures to provide the ultimate correction. Many times, a permanent improvement can be achieved through transfer of fat from your hip or belly. Only an expert in facial rejuvenation will know which combination is best for you. |
What Facial Fillers Can Do for You
1. Smoothing nasolabial folds (folds from the nose to the mouth). Folds around the nose and mouth are best treated in a two-layer technique to add structure deep, and fill in the fine creases on the surface. A more permanent treatment is the transfer of fat to these areas.
2. Softening marionette lines, which run from the corners of the mouth to the chin. This area responds favorably to a two-layer technique, similar to the nasolabial folds. A more permanent treatment is the transfer of fat to these areas.
3. Filling fine creases around the mouth (smokers lines). Fine wrinkling around the mouth is best treated using a combination of techniques. These respond favorably to BOTOX® Cosmetic but require a highly trained and experienced provider to administer. Injectable fillers can be used to soften the creases. The best correction is achieved by using a combination of skin resurfacing and facial fillers.
4. Raising depressed creases across the forehead and between the eyebrows. BOTOX® Cosmetic can be used to prevent creases from forming in these areas. Permanent creases require a combination of BOTOX® Cosmetic and a filler for enhanced correction.
5. Filling depressed scars (e.g. acne pockmarks). Dr Kolstad uses multiple techniques to improve depressed acne scars. Each treatment strategy is designed to meet each patient’s specific needs. Mild, superficial scarring can be improved with an injectable filler. Skin resurfacing used in conjunction with injectable fillers provide the ultimate correction.
6. Filling the hollowness under the eyes or in the cheeks.
7. Lip Augmentation. The skin over your lips is extremely thin. Uneven application of fillers in the wrong locations can lead to lumpy, palpable knots. Filler placed into your lips should only be done by a highly trained, highly qualified practitioner. There are several way to augment your lips. Temporary, injectable fillers are a nice way to see if you like the change. Permanent fillers and fat transfer can offer a more permanent solution.
